Our Team
Back in December of 2025 I began studying for the DMAT. I spent two weeks watching videos and completing practice problems just to come up 2 questions short on the DMAT. After taking precalc I sit in a position to teach others which questions they'll need to know - so I made a course out of it. Our goal is to show students exactly what the exam will be like so they don't have to spend time guessing what to study.
As a current sophomore at the University of Georgia, I made the mistake of not attempting the DMAT my freshman year. Why would I? I had no reference for what the exam was going to look like. Instead, I had to take the class, and while I ended up getting a 96, I now teach others about the DMAT and the ways to succeed on it. This way, no one makes the same mistake I did and can avoid spending a semester taking an unnecessary class.

Our Goal
Fact of the matter is precalc is the first "gut-check" class students experience at the University of Georgia. The difficulty of precalc is compounded by professors conducting research and teaching at the same time. For some professors this doesn't change much, but if you ask your friends who have taken it there will definitely be a few who say teaching is a secondary goal for the math department. Our goal to provide all students with a refresher on the basics needed to ace the DMAT and avoid that experience.
